The Lack of System Stability & Reliability
Programs running under Windows Give us Heart-Stopping
General Protection Faults
&
My personal favorite: Fatal Exception Errors
Summary:
Why don't those in the industry who are defining as well as driving all of the PC's HOT BUTTONS get excited about GPFs, or FATAL EXCEPTION ERRORS under Windows?
OR

The fact that I spend more money on a NEW and ever Faster Computer, packed with Latest & Greatest Goodies--including Lots of EDO and/or  10 ns SDRAM,

AND

I must still wait on a ~10 msec SWAP file to DO its BUSINESS?
I would like to See:
More attention paid to software Reliability--more specifically, Operating System Stability.

Microsoft seems to be unaware of these problems:
Open HELP and Search on:

"Fault," "Protection Fault," " General Protection Fault;" A.K.A., "Page Fault;"
AND
"Fatal," "Fatal Exception," "Fatal Exception Error."
--Duh, Find anything?  If "Confession is good for the Soul," can it hurt the OS?

"Mister Bill," are you listening? (Gates not Clinton)
