I Don't like Cutting Grass--But You already knew that!

It is my belief that Expensive, Temperamental, Gasoline driven, Polluting and Noisy Lawn Mowers should have--long ago--been a thing-of-the-past! 

For the last five to eight years Technology could have taken the labor, the noise and the pollution, out of taking care of your lawn, instead it has ignored yard care generally and the Lawn Mower in particular!

For the past 2 years I have been developing an Autonomous (robotic) Lawn Mower--that I call "MUCH-MOWER."

I'm sure some of you have seen me running it around the yard by Remote Control with TV Cameras, Computer, RADAR and LASERs attached. 

My intention is for it to operate by itself--to be Autonomous: But being merely remote controllable and running autonomously are two significantly 
different things.  --Boy, I can say that again! 

This is my way of saying, "Development of This Thing has taken me much longer than I had originally anticipated." 

The design is in its Third Generation--revision 3.01 for you software types. 

The final version of Much Mower:

It will be able to work day and/or night--and will run-for-cover when the weather turns bad.

It will run on rechargeable batteries whose charge will be augmented by its onboard solar cells; and whenever it senses its batteries running too low, it will automatically search out and find its recharging station--for a "Refill ".

Why am I letting my grass grow so tall and look so Bad? 

1).. I Don't like Cutting Grass--But You already knew that!

2).. In order to test all of the features on the system described, I need all types 
      of yard features likely to be encountered by an Intelligent Lawn Mower:

This mower has two cutting methods: 
1.. The first is a rotary mulching blade

2.. The second is a linear trimmer blade (like a hedge trimmer) that first cuts the taller grasses in order that the mulching blade can cut it--otherwise the mower just passes over the taller stalks. 

       1) Grass on a steep hillside. 
      2) Grass on a low flat area. 
      3) Grass where flat area and the steep hillside meet. 
      4) Grass near the street curbing, 
      5) Grass near a cement walkway & driveway. 
      6) I need grass that is moderately tall and grass that is very tall. 
      7) I also need short clover, and mixed and variegated weed coverings.
